Dr. Ragland received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University and attended The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 1981 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ragland is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association. He is also the recipient of the 2004 University of Tennessee Distinguished Alumni Award for Private Practice.
A native of Georgia, Dr. Wearing attended the College of Charleston where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Medicine. He attended The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Dr. Wearing joined Ragland and Riley Veterinary Hospital in 1996 and became a partner in 2004. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. He and his lovely wife Lisa are the proud parents to two wonderful boys and two lovely girls.
Dr. Cobb was born and raised in Fentress County, Tennessee. He attended Tennessee Technological University for his undergraduate education before attending The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in 2002 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and began practice in his home town of Jamestown. He practiced for two years in Fentress County before joining VCA Ragland and Riley Animal Hospital. Dr. Cobb and his wonderful wife Danica reside in Putnam County.
Dr. Watkins is a 2009 graduate of the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced in both Savannah, Georgia and Memphis, Tennessee. She and her husband Brian are happy to be raising their family in the Upper Cumberland Region.
Dr. Madewell is the most recent addition to our hospital staff. She is a 2012 graduate of The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. As she says, "I am a native Texan who has found Tennessee and I never want to leave!" Dr. Madewell shares her home with her military husband of 9 years, and her son. She has a beloved Siberian Husky, a crazy big black mutt, 3 wonderful cats, a charismatic amazon parrot and a few fish.
